JazzUpTV brings together elements of Indian Semi-Classical, Jazz and Bollywood in a contemporary and refreshing manner. Rahul, a Hard Rock & Jazz lover, decided to create a truly unique sonic experience in his earlier days, and spent a good amount of time familiarizing himself with nuances of various genres of music as well as learning how to play various instruments. The idea is not just to create an exciting sound but also to have beautiful poetry as the essence, be it his original or the works of legendary Urdu poets or Bollywood lyricists.
The real learning and excitement lie in collaborating with musicians with varied backgrounds and musical sensibilities. The journey is long and perpetual, but the path is interesting and satisfying. Rahul Arora is a Guitarist, Vocalist, Bollywood Music Director, Music Producer, Poet and SAE international (Sound Engineering) alumnus with a strong background in computers (Computer Science Hons. from Hans Raj College, Delhi University), and Music Theory (Grade 5 in Music Theory, TCL). He spent a decade and a half in the industry, starting as a Sound Engineer (Jolly LLB and Aashiqui 2) and educator (SAE international). Later, he progressed to Jingle Production and also directed music for the 2016 Bollywood release, Two Desires and a Dream. Throughout, he has been associated with several known artists as a stage and studio guitarist. His passion for the instrument keeps him engaged in the study of music at all times.
Jimmy Page and Pat Metheny are his favourite guitarists and Trilok Gurtu, his favourite composer.
